Angela Horacek:

Mike Reisinger:

 

With Angela, Mike has been coaching tennis to highly ranked junior players in La Jolla for over 20 years. He has proven to be one of the most versatile coaches working with children to adults, beginners to professionals. All of Mike's students are inspired by his passion for the game, as well as his positive energy that emanates throughout the tennis courts day after day.

Jose Ruelas:

 

Jose spent his youth just to the north in Los Angeles competing on the Southern California junior circuit. After playing collegiate tennis, he found his calling coaching tennis in San Diego. After more than 20 years in this city, he has worked with many highly ranked juniors, coaches successful high school teams and has an outstanding reputation within the tennis community. He is a certified U.S. Professional Tennis Association P1 coach and brought his immense tennis knowledge to Country Day several years ago. Jose works with all our teams and is popular with all of our students at LJCDS.

Taiche Rudee:

 

A former top SCTA & San Diego State collegiate player, Taiche has been coaching with Angela for over 27 years here in La Jolla. A mother of two, she brings great energy, knowledge & experience to her students. All of her students leave the court with sound fundamentals.

Matyas Hilgert:

 

Ranked #3 in the Czech Republic under age 15 and achieving an European ranking of #986, Matyas came to the United States to play DI tennis at Eastern Illinois University. There he was a leader playing #1 singles and #1 doubles. Matyas believes strongly in precise footwork, strength and agility being the alpha and omega of improving tennis performance and that every student is a unique individual that requires a different approach. His goal is to find that approach and make learning effective and fun. Matyas is our newest addition and works with our open players and will be assisting Jose and Joslynn with our high school tennis teams.

Cornelius Haarmann: Cornelius comes from Munich, Germany as a former nationally top ranked junior and Professional Club League player ranked 1560 ATP. He has been traveling on the WTA tour coaching and working as a hitting partner for players such as Andrea Petkovic, Sachie Ishizu, Kristina Mladenovic, Dominic Thiem, and Ivo Karlovic. Cornelius traveled for 2 years with Mexican Fed Cup player Nadia Abdala, helping her ranking improve to 517 on the WTA tour. Last year, he traveled with Miyu Kato, and during that time, her ranking jumped from 720 to 280 within a few months. He is also is closely tied to the Adidas Players development program and is a part of their Adidas scouting team for juniors.
